PHACOEMULSIFICATION 

DURATION  4 months 
LOCATION  Eye Foundation Community Hospital  
Ijebu-Imushin, Ogun State 
ANNUAL SLOTS  2 Slots available per annum and a maximum of 2 candidates per slot 
PROGRAM OBJECTIVES/LEARNING OUTCOMES  The trainee will be involved in outreaches and at the end of the program, the trainee should: 
 
Be proficient in phacoemulsification.
 
Know the principles of phacodynamics.
 
Recognize and manage intraoperative complications.
WHO CAN APPLY  Ophthalmologist or Resident Doctors studying Ophthalmology and must be proficient in Small Incision Cataract Surgery (SICS) .
